It may not be the first place to spring to mind when thinking about a family city break with kids, but this sprawling city with its modern architecture and trendy vibe sitting alongside the beautifully restored old town has so much to offer. The Copernicus Science Centre is a brilliant day out for all ages and Warsaw Rising Museum with its interactive displays will educate older children on how Poland fought back in World War II and Warsaw’s residents’ efforts to free the city. With street entertainers, waffle stands and horse and carriage rides, the Old Town will be a big hit and children will love a tram ride over to Warsaw Zoo. It’s also a great city if you’re travelling on a budget with flights, accommodation and eating out being super cheap.
