Our last day was spent using up our subway ticket and whizzing around Manhattan to find the locations from some of our favourite TV shows and films.
First up was a delicious breakfast at NYC Bagel and Coffee House, Chelsea serving plenty of breakfast options in addition to a wide range of bagels and fillings.
As fans of Gossip Girl, we stopped off at the incredible Grand Central Station. It’s certainly more than just a train station and has a huge selection of eateries. On route we also checked out The New York Public Library (Sex and the City).
Walking up through Midtown we stopped off at the Lotte Palace Hotel for a quick photo (home of Serena and her family – Gossip Girl).

Back on the subway, we visited the MET Museum (the steps serving as another iconic Gossip Girl location). With teenagers in tow we didn’t go in but for art enthusiasts, it has an exceptional collection with pieces from the last 5,000 years and from all over the world. We didn’t have time to visit but another top museum which can be found on the Upper West Side is the American Museum of Natural History. Home to 34 million objects, artifacts and specimens, it’s no wonder, it’s renowned worldwide.
A pleasant 20-minute walk through Central Park will bring you to The Plaza Hotel (featured in Home Alone 2).
Friends lovers must visit Monica’s apartment which can be found on the corner of Bedford Street and Grove Street in Greenwich Village – home to the Little Owl Restaurant. We stopped here on Day 1 whilst in the area.

Last stop was a close up of the Empire State Building with a spot of shopping on West 34th Street. Here you’ll find Macy’s along with several of the big brands. With one of the biggest Footlocker stores, the teens were in their element along with some bargains at Old Navy.
